TRAINING PROGRAMME ON "ACCRUAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM" IN DPA LUCKNOW:

Accurual Basis of Accounting System:

A four days Training Programme for the staff of Postal Accounts Office on "Accrual Accounting System was organised by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Committee on Public Finance at DPA Lucknow from 27th February 2013.  This  Programme by ICAI,  being first in the series, is aimed at bringing Accounting Reforms in Department of Posts by assisting the Department in switching over to Accrual based Accounting from Cash Based Accounting.  Such more programmes has to be organised by the Committee on Public Finance in collaboration with Department of Posts in the offices of Postal Accounts of all 22 circles on PAN India basis.

Eminent speakers having expertise in different fields had deliberated and shared their wisdom on respective topics with the participants during the programme.

Little About Accrual Accounting System:

 It is a system of accounting in which transactions are entered in the books of accounts, when they become due.  The transactions are recognized as soon as a right to receive revenue and/or on obligation to pay a liability is created. The expenses are recognized when the resources are consumed and incomes are booked when they are earned.

कार्यालय डाक लेखा लखनऊ में वार्षिक आंतरिक खेल प्रतियोगिता २०१३ संपन्न |

निदेशक डाक लेखा , संचार एंव सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय , उत्तर प्रदेश परिमंडल, लखनऊ कार्यालय में वर्ष २०१३-१४ के आन्तरिक खेल प्रतियोगिता का सफलतापूर्वक समापन दिनांक २६/०९/२०१३ को माननीय अध्यक्षा महोदया श्रीमती अपराजिता  शर्मा अतीक  (निदेशक डाक लेखा) के द्वारा हुआ | इस दौरान शतरंज, कैरम, टेबल टेनिस और स्वीप प्रतियोगिताओं के  विभिन्न वर्गों में ६२ प्रतिभागियों ने हिस्सा लिया |   

            विजेता प्रतिभागियों/खिलाड़ियों का सम्मान एवं पुरूस्कार वितरण दिनांक ०३/१०/२०१३ को माननीय  अध्यक्षा  महोदया द्वारा किया गया| इस  अवसर पर उन्होंने खेलों के महत्त्व  पर  प्रकाश डाला | उन्होंने बताया की खेल कूद के ज़रिये ही खिलाड़ियों में सामूहिक खेल कूद की भावना का विकास होता है | खेलकूद के द्वारा ही पारस्परिक सद्गुण का विकास होता है| इससे शारीर स्फूर्तिमय बना रहता है | खेलों के माध्यम से ही मनुष्य हार और जीत दोनों को समान भाव से ग्रहण करना सीखता है|

ZONAL TRAINING CENTRE, LUCKNOW

          Training  is one of the effective and tested tools for performance enhancement, as well as up gradation of knowledge and skills of the personnel.  Oraganisational motivation and morale, as reflected in the attitudes and administrative culture, are rendered relevant and sharply focused through effective training programme.

         The  Zonal Training Centre, Lucknow was inaugurated  by the Hon’ble State Minister of Communication and IT Mr. Gurdas Kamath on 24^th March 2010 in a programme held at DPA under the president ship of Ms. Nivedita Srivastava(then DPA Lucknow). The centre provides advanced level trainings.  The Zonal Training Centre runs under the administrative control of the Director Postal Accounts Office, Lucknow and the requirement of staff is also met from the existing sanctioned strength or through guest faculty to cater to specific expertise requirement.

The training is linked to quantifiable benefits in order to ensure quality of training.  Training activities design includes quantifiable output  particularly at local levels.

Various other training programmes on  Basic Computer Knowledge, Patram and Compact Softwares, CC Bridge Software, GPF Software, Meghdoot Software etc. are regularly conducted in the ZTC by the expertises.

Office of the Director of Accounts(Postal), Ministry of Communications & IT,  Lucknow celebrated Hindi fort-night from 14/09/2013 to 27/09/2013 as a part of the programme to promote the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in official work.  The valedictory function of these celebrations was organized on 27^th September, 2013 at DPA Lucknow.

 At the outset, Mr. R.K. Pal(Rajbhasha cell) welcomed the gathering which was graced by the presence of Director Ms. Aprajita Sharma Atique.

During this two weeks long celebrations the officers and staff used Hindi for their official work to the extent possible. Also various programmes in Hindi were organized to reiterate the importance of official language.         
 The celebrations included an essay competition, noting and drafting competition, General knowledge quiz, kids poem recitation competition and departmental “ kavya goshthi”.  The winners of various competitions held were honoured by DPA. While addressing the gathering, Director praised the staff for participating in this event with great enthusiasm. She said that the National Language of any nation is not only significant as a tool of communication but it carries basic culture / values of the people of the Nation. She said that every citizen should respect the Nation, National Language, Culture and its basic values.

She also said that the progressive use of Hindi promotes National Unity and Integrity. Further she appealed all the employees to use Hindi in their day to day work as per the policy of the Government of India.

    कार्यालय निदेशक ( डाक लेखा) उत्तर प्रदेश परिमंडल, लखनऊ में हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2013 कार्यक्रम के अन्तर्गत दिनांक 14 सितम्बर 2013 से 27 सितम्बर 2013 तक निबन्ध,भाषण प्रतियोगिता,टिपण्णी/
प्रारूप लेखन, बाल काव्य पाठ आदि विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया। विजेता प्रतिभागियों सहित भाग लेने वाले सभी अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों का सम्मान माननीय निदेशक महोदया श्रीमती अपराजिता शर्मा अतीक द्वारा 27 सितम्बर 2013 को किया गया। इस अवसर पर निदेशक महोदया ने बताया कि हिंदी अत्यधिक व्यवस्थित, सरल व लचीली भाषा होने के साथ साथ सांस्कृतिक धरोहर एवं एकता की मजबूत कड़ी भी है। उन्होंने उपस्थित गणमान्य व्यक्तियों एवं कर्मचारियों से अधिक से अधिक कार्य हिंदी भाषा में करने पर बल दिया। हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2013 के समापन समारोह का नेतृत्व श्री आर. के. पाल, वरिष्ठ लेखाधिकारी, प्रशासन एवं राजभाषा  द्वारा  किया गया। श्री आर. के. पाल जी  ने श्री प्रदीप  कुमार पाण्डेय, वरिष्ठ लेखाकार (हिंदी प्रभारी) का पखवाड़े के सफल आयोजन हेतु आभार व्यक्त किया |
